A Life Limiting Condition

When a woman receives a diagnosis of Edwards’ T18 or Patau’s Syndrome T13 for her baby we term this a life limiting condition as these babies could live for a few hours, days, weeks, months etc. They have an enormous and loving impact on their families.

For many years now we have been recommending a multi disciplinary team approach by health professionals when a baby is diagnosed with Edwards’ T18 or Patau’s Syndrome T13. We also recommend seeking information from support organisations like ourselves.
