Rare Disease Day!
Thurs 28 February 2019 is Rare Disease Day.
The worldwide rare disease community joins together to raise awareness of rare diseases and would include Trisomy 13 and Trisomy 18. On and around this day patient organisations from countries and regions all over the world hold awareness-raising events Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February each year. The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to raise awareness amongst the general public. A disease or disorder is defined as rare (or orphan) when it affects less than 1 in 2,000 people.
