Celtic Tenors Midsummer Concert
CelticTenors Facebook
On Sat June 17th Deirdre Shannon, The Celtic Tenors with the St Colmcille Church Choir and Special Guests performed a very special Midsummer concert in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and Palliative Care. The Concert took take place in Saint Colmcille’s Church Kells County Meath. An incredible night in Kells with Deirdre Shannon (Official) & Celtic Tenors Matthew Gilsenan (Deirdre’s brother), James Nelson, Daryl Simpson and Deirdre Shannon Gilsenan gave us a night to remember as well as special guest Erika Copeland ..Proud to say that we were part of the 1000+ audience. It’s impossible to describe as you would have to have been there in a church packed to the rafters. It felt like one was a sacred pilgrimage What a night!
And … SOFT had a presence there with Paula and Alex in the audience after spotting the event in the Meath Chronicle. There they were in the middle of it all on a journey in a sacred place.Spot SOFT in the audience! Hint “Right down the middle”
And … We got to meet them all afterwards outside especially Deirdre with her connection to SOFT after her son Gabriel was still born 7 years ago with Edward’s Syndrome T18 and holds us in her heart. We had a very emotional and deep conversation with her that we cherish as she made a special effort to talk with us despite all the attention after the gig.
