Every Life Counts Campaign March 2015

SOFT Irl are supporting the Every Life Counts campaign to stop the phrase “incompatible with life” being used as a medical reference or diagnoses for critically ill babies. Researchers and families (including some of our SOFT members) will launch the ‘Geneva Declaration on Perinatal Care’ at the United Nations in Geneva tomorrow March 11th.
It states that “As medical practitioners and researchers, we declare that the term ‘incompatible with life’ is not a medical diagnosis and should not be used when describing unborn children who may have a life-limiting condition.” The full declaration can be read by clicking the below link.
